My garage door remote got stolen, what should I do?

Anytime your remote is lost, stolen or you bought the home from someone else that you do not know, you should erase all old opener codes. Most garage door manufactures use the same method of erasing old codes. The first thing you have to do is locate the learn button that you use to program new remote codes. After you locate the learn button which is usually located behind white plastic light covers. To erase old codes you have to hold down the learn code button about 10-12 seconds until the LED light next to the button turns off. Once the light turns off you can reprogram or program new remotes or keypad remotes to the opener.
