Instruction on Programming Wireless Keypad Liftmaster 877MAX

The Liftmaster 877MAX keypad is designed to work seamlessly with Garage Door Openers operating at either 315 MHz or 390 MHz, provided they were manufactured after January 1, 1993. Ensure that your garage door opener has a working lightbulb, as the light serves as a programming indicator.

To begin programming, first, locate the learn button on the operator motor. If you encounter difficulties finding the learn button, consult the user’s manual for your specific garage door opener model.

  1. Press and hold the Hashtag ( # ) and Star ( * ) buttons on the keypad until the keypad lights cease flashing.
  2. Press and release the Learn Button located on the garage door opener motor. (Please note: You have 30 seconds to complete the programming.)
  3. Enter a 4-digit PIN of your choice on the keypad.
  4. Press and release the enter button on the keypad. Watch the light bulb on the opener for guidance. The number of times to press the enter button depends on the type of learn button:
    • Press once on the Yellow button for specified Liftmaster / Chamberlain / Craftsman /  Openers.
